A parcel arrived unexpectedly, creating a mixture of emotions within both of them.
While she was overjoyed by the arrival of her most awaited parcel, he was astonished, because he was told about it beforehand which was mostly the case.
He was not aware of what the parcel held and when he questioned her about it, she simply advised him to exercise patience.
He watched her unwrap the box, sitting on the ground with her cat on her lap, the beaming joy increasing query within him.
Eventually, the wait halted its pace as her hands finally unwrapped the box.
And he found out that it was a collar. A small black collar, which she quickly tied around her cat's neck.
He could not believe that the excitement and joy on her face was because of the cat's collar. It left him astoundingly sitting on the couch.
But swiftly the astonishment changed its color when he witnessed her adore the cat with many kisses and compliments.
He felt irritation taking its course in his nerves, and many questions arising as well.
Why was the cat receiving such affection when he only sleeps all day? He does absolutely nothing and just purrs around the house when he is the one taking care of her.
He did not receive such affection and compliments, he was just dumbfoundedly sitting on the couch like a third wheel.
Unable to withstand such a dreadful situation he stomped to the kitchen, his eyes never leaving the two cuddling beings.
She did not even notice him walk off!
The water that he had poured for himself, thinking it might soothe him did not help his burning heart at all, frustrating him even more.
This is not right!
She would just not stop kissing him! She needed to stop!
But she wished to share the joy with him. She wished to get his opinion on how the cat looked, but before she could ask him, she found a disturbing expression on his face.
His eyes had turned colder than the ice, almost no emotion surfacing his skin, just like his body. Only, his cheeks were puffed up, his lips tightly sealed together.
She saw him take a gulp and his scary, fixed eyes on the cat.
Why was he looking at him like that?
Then a loud thump of the glass against the kitchen counter occurred, leading her to flinch.
"What's wrong?" She quickly questioned, her fingers still combing the cat's hair.
"Nothing." He bitterly answered and quietly stomped towards her.
His steps were as slow as the cat in her lap and his hands were just as unpredictable as the cat.
He yanked the cat away from her arms and literally threw him on the couch then continued to walk off with the same attitude as the cat.
Before she could summarize the situation he had also locked himself in the bedroom, leaving both the glass and her deserted and astonished.
What the fuck!
What the fuck just happened?
With a strong blink of her eye, the moment of shock abruptly died down, and her senses came back to reality.
"Baby?" Fretting with her neck, she quickly stood on her feet and paced to the door. "What happened? Is something wrong?" She questioned as she tried to push the door open, but the door stood still.
"Baby?" Realizing the door was locked, she boomed, "Why have you locked yourself in?"
