I stepped out into the warm summer night, taking in a refreshing breath. Slim was much less scary in person than everyone made him out to be. Perhaps that was because I had more to offer than the people that usually fell under his radar. I wondered if I should keep him waiting, or go back tomorrow as I promised. That man did weird things to my insides, and he seemed so out of reach.
At any rate, I had a meeting with my drug dealer Jem that if I missed, I'd be out for at least a few days, and I was already feeling the lack of drugs. I started walking towards the alley way she was always at, that also served as my safe spot to crash for the night. The walk would do me some good, my sheath ached from the lack of attention and I needed to take my mind off Slim. At least for the time being.
It was about a thirty-minute walk through Old Town, the alley was coined loser heights. I didn't feel like a loser tonight, but the name fit for many reasons. As I rounded the corner, I saw the tigress that frequented my bed. She wasn't my type, but she enjoyed me to the point that I was able to get drugs for free. It was a lose-win for us both, but this order was special and totally worth it.
"Hey, you got my order tonight?" She smiled and turned away from the person she was dealing to before I'd arrived. "What order Cam? You ought to know, I don't always keep my orders, well, in order. You'll have to be a little more specific." I scoffed and gave her the best glare I could muster. "You know, the order that took two hours for me to "pay" for. I don't sleep with you for nothing."
She laughed and pulled out a brown bag with a smirk, "Oh sweetheart, I would never forget one of your orders, I just wanted to hear you say it." I rolled my eyes and took the bag from her.
"Thanks, but I'd rather not talk about how our deals are done in the future. I don't like thinking about it." A smile perked at her lips.
"Darling," she spoke into my ear in a whisper, "That's what the drugs are for."
I shivered and pushed her away, I wanted to get off this topic. "You'll never guess whose dick I sucked tonight. I guarantee it." This made her pause and she looked off to the side like she was thinking really hard about it. Tapping a finger to her chin, she sighed dramatically. Good, I was hoping she would take the bait. I wanted to stop thinking about it, but it was worth talking about if she'd stop talking about us.
"Well, it must not have been any of your regulars, so someone new. It couldn't have been that dom you enjoyed a few weeks ago, could it?" I chuckled, I had a scene with a Bengal in a private room that had left me not able to walk properly for a few days after. "No, I haven't seen him since then, I think he was here on vacation. Do you know who controls ninety percent of what goes on, on the stage at Night Dragon?"
She raised her eyebrows, "You sucked off Slim, like the Slim that owns most of those sluts at the club? You're playing a dangerous game, honey." I shrugged and gave a smile. "That's the one, and I'm not playing any game. Do you see how well he takes care of his subs?"
"His sluts don't have a choice in the matter, Cam. Please, just, be careful."
I grumbled, "Yes, mom. Well, I'm off to bed. I'll let you know how quality this stuff is in a few days. I'm going to try and make some money these next couple days. Maybe I can manage to get enough to afford a hotel room for a night or two."
"Be safe, there's been a few regulars that have gone missing. Have a good night, Cam." I waved her worries off and went to my sleeping spot. It was just a couple of wood pallets in the shape of a bed with a tarp to cover the top. Someone had taken my pillow, but thankfully left the blankets.
Slipping under the covers, I sighed, it was good to be in my safe spot and away from the crazy of the club. I needed some friends, I'd talked to Jinx once, but they were just getting off the stage and wanted to compliment my outfit. Maybe if I saw them before they went on stage, I could get more of a conversation.
Looking over at the bag of coke, it was laced with psychedelics as requested, I debated taking a bump to help me imagine I was somewhere else. Something that would make everything feel HD, touch, sound and smell would be heightened. I wanted it to help me stay in the game out on the streets, selling myself was great sometimes, but there was the oddball that would turn me off to where I almost couldn't perform. I decided against taking any tonight. I wanted so badly to afford any sort of comfortable living situation, but I hadn't been able to get any sort of real job, I always failed the drug tests. I snagged my remaining coke, it was enough for one hit, and let the high take over me.
Slipping my most recent order next to me, so no one would take it, I closed my eyes and tried to get some sleep. It wasn't long before dreams of Slim flashed behind my eyes. Some of him being sweet, some of him getting angry, others he was just railing me from behind. I was tossing and turning all night long, every dream being both a turn on, and made me feel like I had spiders crawling all over my body.
I woke up to rain pattering against my face, a nice way to chase off the dreams that plagued me all night. Shaking off all the drops that clung to my fur, I scrounged my pack for some different clothes. I found some thigh highs, fishnet stalkings, my usual black shorts and a crop top. Good enough for me. I slipped out of yesterday's clothes and slipped into today's outfit. Jem made sure I had clean clothes, which was a bonus for our time spent together in bed.
Stretching, I grabbed my small shoulder pouch and slipped the bag of coke into it. Today I just needed to gain a list of clients, so tomorrow I could start working my ass off again. Walking out of the alley, I looked towards the direction of the club, I'd absolutely go back tonight. Something positive and fun before, well, I didn't really want to think about it.
Despite all my talk last night with Slim, admittedly V gave me the clients I needed when I needed the cash. She got a small cut, but there was no way I would be caught dead in a contract with her. Once a contact was signed, there was almost nothing the police could do for you.
It was you waiving your rights, giving up a large part of your autonomy. So many had done just this to make a living, I had thought about it so many times. I was almost at my breaking point, my body always ached from sleeping in my cramped up, makeshift bed. I was always short on money, I'd spend it on food, clothes or drugs as fast as I could make it. At least a contract would offer some stability, and I could at least get off the streets. Working at a club sounded a lot better even if it was similar work.
I stepped into an office-like building, getting a few looks from people coming in and out. I couldn't help but wink at a few, holding my head up like nothing bothered me. Pushing the button for the elevator, I sighed, I didn't want to see her face, but I didn't have a choice. Recently, V's client lists had been lacking, and we were both hurting on the profit end of things.
Once I got to her office, as soon as I sat down, V turned the corner of the hallway that held all the private rooms. "Cam, I'm glad to see you. Come on, don't dally." V was a wolf, much like those I had shoved around to get to Slim. I stood and followed her into her own personal office, it was really unlike her to be expecting me. I normally waited an hour, sometimes more, for her to notice my smell lingering through the halls.
Sitting sideways in the chair meant for guests, my legs draped over its arm, "V, sweetie, I need some clients. I would love to get off the streets for a night or two and actually sleep in a bed. What do you got?" I looked up at her, sitting up when I saw her glaring intensely at me. "Oh no, what did I do?"
"It's more like, who did you do? I got some intel that you spent an adventurous night with the man who shoved me out of Night Dragon. I don't ask a lot of you, Cam. I really don't." My mouth gaped open, I wasn't sure what to say. I had no clue how she'd found out so quickly. She had no connections with the drug ring in town, so Jem couldn't have told her. But whoever it was got one thing wrong. "I didn't sleep with him, I merely sucked him off while I was on a trip. He wanted to know about Jinx. You've never said I couldn't talk with him."
She sat down, still glaring at me. "Cam, me asking you to stay out of his way, was me asking you not to suck him off, fuck him, or give him information of any kind. I don't have any clients for you, unless you sign my contract." I stood up, this time I was the one glaring.
"I make you enough money just freelancing, you don't need me on any more than I already am!" She raised her eyebrows and shrugged. It wasn't completely true, work had dwindled in the last few weeks, but that was not my problem.
"You're not going to be getting that room then, now, are you?"
"You're just as bad of a pimp as you've ever been, V. I can find my own work." I stood and stormed out of the office.
She's always wanted me on contract, but never had the leverage, or gall, to force my hand. I wanted to break down, but I wouldn't give her the satisfaction. She hated me talking to Slim? I'd make her wish she kept all of this to herself, and just given me the client list. I wasn't sure how far I would take this, I hadn't decided, but I knew however far I did get, she would regret letting me go.
