Midnight Ch 21 Honesty

(This series is a collaboration with my good friend Sanchez. His ideas, I ran with it. We will see how it evolves. He has a sound concept, and characters, I'm primarily piecing it all together and seeing how it plays out. We hope you enjoy our efforts.)

Midnight Episode 021: HONEsty

Tilly Cooper stepped outside the Cordoba General Hospital for the first time in 16 hours. It was good to feel the mid evening air on her face. Joining her husband Sheldon in his sports car as he pulled up on the curb, he took her for a spin around the block as she sipped her milkshake. Sheldon was afraid to leave his car after his tires being slit. With Mordecai Sage mingling with his daughters before sending them home he at least had a brief stress relief. Mordecai although seeming less threatening was like a Doberman Pincher. One wrong move could spark insanity.

"Mordecai tried to apologize to me earlier. I don't buy it for a second."

"Nor do I. Just ignore him, things are looking up for Irene. He will go home to the Rez shortly and we won't have to deal with him."

"Sure, we can go off on vacation to Colorado and leave our house empty?"

"We could let Irene and Midnight stay there while we're gone."

"As long as Esteban doesn't come knocking."

"Restraining order."

"Yeah, as if he'll pay attention to that."

"Somehow I think Nick Sanchez will make certain Esteban keeps his distance."

"He has his plate full Tilly. Harbinger Shoals needs work."

"He does have a beach house they could stay at. I doubt Esteban knows where he lives."

"That's asking a lot of the man Tilly, he's borrowing that place himself. I'm good if they stay at our house until they figure out where they're going. I just don't want our house trashed like Irene's. Wanna postpone Colorado?"

"We have everything paid for. No... we have a week still before our flight. Irene will be released by then, I'm sure. Once we settle them in, we can go enjoy ourselves. We're only going to be gone two weeks."

"Two weeks of bliss. I'm ready for Snow Bunny Matilda." He grinned.

"You would fall asleep in front of the fireplace before I even hopped on you."

"Don't count on that." He winked. Yeah, she was probably right. Three hops and he would be snoring.

Nick Sanchez pulled up to the parking garage passing Sheldon on another trip around the block. Seeing one another Sheldon turned around following him into the garage. Sheldon wanted to keep Nick's tires safe too so would suggest he stood guard over both vehicles while he was away.

"You see Midnight with him?" Sheldon traversed floors with Tilly holding on for dear life. It was as if he thought he was James Bond in his sports car.

"No, I didn't. Surely she would want to come back for her mother."

Reaching Nick's parking spot Sheldon grits his teeth, "Aww hell! He's parking right next to Anita's car. This can't go well."

"The girls don't know him by appearance, only what their brothers told them about him. They might leave before even seeing... shit! Here they come with Mordecai. Please don't punch my brother again."

"Only if he goes near my tires again. I'm pulling next to Nick. I'll keep an eye on his truck until visiting hours are over. Can we please go sleep in our own bed tonight?"

"Yes Honey! Irene will be fine without me overnight. Although I expected Midnight to be here just in case. Hopefully dressed!"

"I know right! What got into...? Hey Nick!" He slid into the parking spot to Nick's driver's side door. Nick seemed edgy upon seeing him but got out of the truck careful not to ding the sports car's body.

"Irene must be doing better with you two on a date. Is that a milkshake?"

"What's left of it. I told my Mother I'd share, so I'd better leave her a few sips." Tilly smiled, "Where's Midnight?" Tilly got out of the car to walk with him to the bumper.

"In back."

"Backseat taking a nap?"

"No. In back." He winced.

"Oh god forbid. What is going on between you two?"

"You can ask her yourself once she's in Irene's room."

"Aunt Tilly?" Young Nancy Sage ran up to them with a bubbly attitude. Even after her father had ordered her to stay away in seeing Nick. Her sisters were not far behind. Seeing Nick up close Nancy grew shy and hugged Tilly from the side.

"Nick... please wait until..." Tilly pled with her eyes as if saying not in front of the kids. They were all adults but babies to her. Sheldon getting out to stretch tickled Nancy from the side.

"Hey Kiddo! Long time no see."

"Hi Uncle Sheldon." At least one Sage kid was respectful. "Are you the guy who saved Aunt Irene?"

"Something like that."

"My sister Anita is single." She pointed at her eldest sister, her eyes bulging at being put on the spot.

"Oh yeah? She is pretty hot." He winked at both girls; Tilly held in restraint by Sheldon's grip on her shoulders from behind. "Unfortunately, I'm not looking for a girlfriend."

"You would do well to stay away from my entire family." Mordecai had tried to remain calm so that his girls did not see his temper but just the merest wink out of Sanchez tensed his ire's.

"You can lower your blood pressure Mordecai. Your girls are beautiful young women, I can see you've raised them well."

"Alone yes, since their mother passed away." Mordecai grew emotional just that quickly.

"Sorry to hear that." He devoted his thoughts toward everyone with eye contact made to each individual. "I lost my own mother four years ago to cancer. I was overseas at the time so you can imagine how hard that was not even being able to attend her funeral."

"Was that why you risked your life to save Aunt Irene?" Ophelia spoke up eying his tattoos. "Did you even know her?"

"No. Not before that night. I know her daughter."

"How do you know Midnight?" Anita decided to enter the conversation now that he let her off easily, still red in the cheeks but smiling.

"The diner. I eat there a lot to avoid cooking." That was the truth. "Midnight... serves me."

"Ahem!" Tilly was calm but feared he might go darker at any second. "We should get inside." A loud thump heard next to Nick from the 4Runner made everyone jump.

"Do you have anyone with you?" Mordecai winced. He had his suspicions and wanted to humiliate Nick if he were accurate in his assumption. "Midnight, perhaps?"

"Fell asleep."

"I'll wake her." Nancy tried to pull away from Tilly to find herself held at bay.

"Better let me." He moved to the passenger front door first and procured a clean black t-shirt he brought along just in case and whipped it at Midnight. Restrained between the rear and the lowered back seats over her treasure trunk he whispered, "I'll untie your hands. Put the shirt on as fast as you can then untie your own legs. Can you do that?" A nod of certainty he crawled over her just enough to untether her father's shoelace from her wrists. Abandoning her to the blackness of the 4Runner's smoked glass rear windows he ended his visit with a glare. Almost a warning.

"When you're ready you can open the hatch from the inside. Family... so think smart. Oh! And days like this will be rare so don't get used to my kindness." She wiggled her black t-shirt on over her arms, head and chest before contorting to reach for her ankles. Nick left her to her own struggles.

"She's grumpy." He smirked. "Short naps do that to a person." Tilly was pale the entire time but very grateful for those dark windows. Ophelia was trying her best to peer through the glass without success, the 4Runner being a 4x4 only added to that challenge, the height meant tiptoes to see in. Illegal in most states a certain owner of the vehicle by the name of Marcus Jericho had written government permission to as they say in Black Ops... go dark.

"She must be emotionally drained." Anita pouted.

"I like your tattoos." Ophelia gave up spying and moved closer to look over Nick's sleeves. "Japanese?"

"Yep! Comes with the black belts. Honor amongst warriors."

"You have a black belt?" She flared her eyes then peered at her father. "Can I take lessons from him? I've always wanted to learn a martial art."

"You may not." Mordecai sneered. "God would not want you to waste your time on fighting. Love should be your greatest achievement."

"Love for your craft is the greatest gift God can offer. You chose to share his word. I choose to share what he granted me with." Including Midnight! "Soften up your daddy there and sure once I get settled out at the Shoal's I'll give you pointers."

"Pleeeeease daddy? I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I'm 21!"

"We shall see." Mordecai winced at Nick thinking, "This man in hell!"

"Yes! He's softening up." Ophelia pumped her fist then made her own version of a Kung Fu move. Nick aiming to give Midnight time smiled and bowed to Ophelia out of Japanese influence as honor. He had his moments. She in turn repeated his bow then giggled, "Did I do it right?"

"The bow of respect yes. The moves not even close." He winked. Thuds in the 4Runner shook it about as Midnight finally untied herself and attempted to hide the ropes inside the trunk. This of course required her to reach up over the front seat to obtain the key to unlock the trunk. Seeing her Nick shook his head but cut her some slack today of all days. He hoped she was ready to let her family know her decisions going forward in serving him. If not... he was going home alone.

A deadly silence overcame everyone while awaiting Midnight to finally emerge. What was taking her so long? Even Sheldon took it upon himself to hug Tilly a bit tighter from behind to control her stress level. After seeing her niece totally nude and almost defiant of clothing, including masturbating on the hood of this monster vehicle right here in the parking garage, Matilda feared for her other nieces. Deep breath taken she opened the hatchback lid and shared her appearance, for better or worse. Tugging at her t-shirt's hemline to make certain her inner thighs were covered a top priority at least in her exit, she yawned. She was tired that was not a ruse.

"There she is." Sheldon spoke with a smile to shake the initial shock of her attire. Tilly patting his arm around her neck he quickly shut up.

"Hello." Was all Midnight shared as Nick did the unthinkable and cradled her in his arms to help her down from the vehicle. Mordecai's daughters cooed at his gentlemanly act. Anita especially found his gallant act stimulating to her wish list of future callers. Someday her Prince would come.

On her bare feet Midnight smiled at Nick with a blush offering a "Thank you." He merely sneered at her and eased her out of the way so he could shut down the hatch.

"Where are your clothes?" Mordecai immediately started in.

"Ashes Uncle. I have nothing."

"You wear his shirt. That is unbecoming of a young woman who is not in a relationship with said man."

"You would rather I wear nothing? I can do that uncle."

Nick just knew she wanted to strip that shirt off right there but his hand on her shoulder prevented the act from happening. Pride in her thoughts he resisted allowing it for now. "Better than nothing Morde." Sheldon opened up, "We'll have to take her shopping later."

"Can we go?" Nancy peeled from Tilly's hip and jumped up and down then bolted for Midnight giving her a warm hug. "I love you, Cuz." Midnight nearly shed a tear. Anita and Ophelia both joined in on the hug surrounding her with love. Mordecai found it difficult not to share in their loyalty. Finally, he too dared to join in on the group hug. It made him look good that was all that mattered. Shocked, Tilly frowned at her brother's attempt. She knew it was a ploy.

"Perhaps Mordecai can take you all dress shopping." Tilly emphasized just to rile her brother.

"Will you dad?" Ophelia seemed hopeful.

"Allow me." Nick patted Mordecai on the back. "You girls stop by Rayna Waterfall's and tell her you want three new dresses each. On me."

"Whoa! Seriously?" Nancy grew giddy. "Can we take Midnight?"

"She has other things to do girls." Mordecai grumbled but relented to Nick, "Your offer is very kind Mister Sanchez. I cannot allow that. I will make arrangements to take them shopping on my own."

"Rayna's a good seamstress I hear. She can use the money like anyone else."

"Agreed! I will allow the girls to visit Rayna."

"YES!" All three Sage girls bubbled up, even the more conservative Anita.

"Three dresses each?" Ophelia studied her father just to be certain.

"Yes." He groaned. Nick calculated in his mind that those nine dresses, oh wait Mordecai had a fourth daughter Tina, so twelve dresses would run him a good twelve hundred dollars. That should make up for the slit tires Nick had to buy he and Sheldon. If Mordecai kept his word.

Midnight lost in the conversation of her clinging cousins yawned a second time. Tilly easing away from her husband Sheldon attempted to peel the girls away from Midnight. "Girls? Let's let Midnight go see her mother before visiting hours end."

"We should hang out more Midnight." Ophelia spoke out. "Can she come stay with us daddy? She and Aunt Irene?" Nick mused at Mordecai's expression.

"We have that taken care of girls." Tilly jumped in, "Irene and Midnight can stay at our home while we go on vacation." The word vacation the girls immediately had to know where and for how long. Ophelia even whispering into Midnight's ear, "We should throw a party." Midnight simply smiled sheepishly. Not with Irene there recuperating. Nice try Ophelia!

With the girls fawning over Tilly as much as her, Midnight had a moment to stretch. Vividly her arms reached over her head allowing her black t-shirt to rise up and purposely show off her bare ass and succulent thighs. Mordecai observing a perfect view of his niece's pussy winced with disgust, yet Midnight defied his glare and maintained her pose until Nick cleared his throat. "Tilly? Why don't you walk Midnight on up to see Irene before it gets any later."

"Are you not coming?" Midnight appealed to Nick with concern.

"You'll know when I do." He glared. Her brain processed that without smiling or jumping for joy. She so wanted to make this man cum. She was ready for her new life, and nothing would prevent her from making this man happy. His risky reply went right over the heads of all three Sage girl's. Not the elders, however. Sheldon nearly chuckled. Tilly rolled her eyes. Mordecai? If looks could kill. Something he was good at.

"Come Midnight." Tilly took her niece's hand then realized her own words were only adding to the shame of it all. Midnight left Nick's side but peered back at him as if being torn away as a baby, from a parent knowing there was no return. Nick sensed that tug and stood tall, taller than he had been. While never slouching, his posture perfect, this time he was... regal.

"Time to go girls." Mordecai clapped his hands, mainly to avoid his daughters from seeing Midnight's butt cheeks peeking out from under Nick's black tee. Anita taking the hint first told her sisters to get into the car. Expressing their love for their father upon getting in he kissed each one of his daughters on the forehead.

"Bye Uncle Sheldon." Nancy and Ophelia offered, Anita just waving.

"Drive safe ladies. Enjoy those new dresses. Make sure Tina gets her share too." Sheldon chuckled moving right next to Mordecai. Once the girls were inside their car, doors shut he mumbled, "Better get the boys new clothes too or you know they'll call you out on favoritism." Mordecai simply growled and turned to walk off toward his van. He needed a smoke. Not the kind coming from his ears either.

"Smooth move Nick." Sheldon winked. "All those clothes will cost that asshole a pretty penny."

"I thought so." Nick waved as Anita backed out and prepared to drive away. Before her foot even accelerated Nancy rolled her window down and yelled, "ANITA WANTS YOU." A loud, "OH MY GOD!" from Anita led to a speedy take off. Mordecai hearing this knew his pack of cigarettes would be polished off shortly. Fresh pack sadly!

"Cute kids." Sheldon chuckled. "Make you want to have some Nick?"

A scowl from hell Nick peered at Sheldon, "How about you?"

"Hell no!"

The Santee Rez...

Nodin Merrick took the time to stop by one of his business dealings. Seeing a cluster of gleaming Harley's outside the strip club known as SanTease he sneered with distaste. Certain members of his tribe were acting out in ways that just did not settle well with him. After seeing the video of Oliver Heavy Feather's brash actions toward both Dawn Bearpaw and the man Nick Sanchez, a lesson must be learned. Seeing Nodin pull up, a bouncer standing at the door reacted with concern. Muscles certainly built upon steroids defined him with a menacing look. He wore a set of black clothing consisting of slacks and a button-down shirt that looked well pressed. Awaiting Nodin to get out he greeted the Elder with respect. "Welcome Proprietor Merrick."

"Calvin Heavy Feather! Your brother drunk?"

"Getting there. He in trouble again?"

"He is. Nothing to worry about, I won't break his arm."

"That's good. His arm is already hurt. He refuses to say how though."

"Already know. Back me up if he gets rowdy."

"Sir? Your daughter..."

"On stage again?"

"Yes Sir! Forgive me... but she wears nothing."

"She has no need of money and what do I have to contend with? Why can't she be content to do the books?"

"I understand Sir. She... can be... very persuasive."
