Mark made his way to the office on Friday morning. Sheri had been on his mind continually since her texts yesterday. He felt nervous thinking about tonight and the next few days. Mark had wanted to be in this specific situation for a while, but as the time passed his emotions were in flux. He realized, for the first time in his life, he had a date or encounter set up about which he had no idea what to expect. Mark knew she was in charge and planning for his visit but had no real sense about her plans. He worried he might not be able to let completely go and wondered if she could get him to surrender the way he had when they met and during their texts yesterday. While Mark was confident about his sexual prowess and knew his encounters in the past had always been pleasing to his partner, he wondered if things might be different in this case. He was aware sometimes fantasies and real life didn't always line up. He did not want to disappoint her and wondered if his desires were more fantasy then reality.
Emotionally he went from incredible excitement to concern about pleasing her and wondering if she might ask him to do things he might not want to or enjoy. Mark had not slept well and felt a bit out of sorts as he prepared for the morning executive project review meeting.
These weekly meetings were a chance for each executive to understand where things were and to bring any concerns or questions to the table. Mark handled the meetings with a nimbleness and skillful manner to ensure no controversial or truculent discussions ensued. Mark's ability to read people and anticipate possible points of contention helped to keep the meetings on track. During every session, some issue came up which led to some, at times, heated discussions about who needed to do what or why something had fallen behind. Mark had been able to deflect these conversations quickly. He had enormous credibility within the team and even though he only led one engineering group, over time he had taken on the role of spokesman for all projects within the engineering and product groups. Considering his emotional state, leading the status meeting was a relief because of how easy and straightforward the meetings had become.
Mark headed to the conference room a few minutes before nine to make sure the presentation equipment worked. He watched as everyone started to arrive and get themselves ready. He walked over and had a quick conversation with Steve, the VP of Sales, about a deal he had heard required some additional resources to finish. Steve had asked Mark to assign his top guy to the project team. Mark told him the reassignment had happened and the engineer started yesterday on the project.
Before arriving Mark had texted a question to a lead on a project related to the handoff to Quality Assurance and had not received a response. Usually, Mark's phone was off during these meetings, but since he needed the answer, he put his phone on vibrate and placed it on the table. Sheri and her texting game suddenly came to mind while everyone was getting settled. He thought about her making him run into the bathroom to play with himself, something he had never done before at any office he had worked in. The thought of performing on demand excited him, and for a few minutes, his mind wondered about later and how else Sheri planned to make him play for her.
As he stood at the end of the table, an awareness came over him. He knew everyone in the room was looking at him, waiting for him to begin, and now here he was with a considerable hard-on. Suddenly he felt as if everyone knew it and he was embarrassed, and a bit mortified. This thought brought him back to the present. He scanned the room again and realized everyone was checking their phones, getting their devices ready, or catching up with each other on the issues du jour. Mark felt instantly better and laughed to himself as he thought about how Sheri affected him. It excited him.
He got everyone's attention and welcomed the road warriors to headquarters. The meeting itself moved quickly. Still waiting for the update from his lead, he knew this project could cause some conversation as it was behind schedule. Mark kept glancing at his phone as he moved through his presentation. The CEO asked a few questions about a controversial project, and Mark knew to not let the discussion expand into another debate about the proper use of resources in the company. Mark had to handle these questions deftly, or the old arguments and concerns could hijack the meeting.
As Mark thought about how best to respond, his phone vibrated. Though he knew he had to keep the meeting moving, Mark assumed the project lead had gotten back to him. His mind still on responding to the CEO's questions, Mark quickly picked up the phone and looked at the message, his mind went blank. He looked at his phone and completely lost track of the conversation.
