Laura Lae's Trip to the Mid-East

Prologue

Laura Lake and her junior assistant Johnny Jordan were reporters for the Metro Star News published in St. Louis and had been on an undercover assignment in the small Mid-Eastern country of Arabica. As the result of being set up, they had both been captured during a trip to a remote desert by slave traders. Those executives had previously been suspected of being involved in the slave trading operation and were the reason that Laura and Johnny had gone undercover to the Mid-East in the first place!

After arriving at her ranch home in a remote area of an unincorporated area St. Louis County, Laura found pretty much everything intact during her three month absence. Johnny's Visit to Laura's House
