Lissa looked at the ad in dismay but it was the last job offering at the college for summer jobs at the expensive private school she attended. Lissa did not like children and dressing up as an Easter bunny was up there on her top ten of things she didn't want to do ever. The museum of culture and science was probably having another stupid egg hunt. Even so the price of not having a job meant moving in with her brother and his wife instead of staying in her private dorm. Ellen was five months pregnant and if Lissa heard another word about the miracles of motherhood she would puke. Ellen was not really good enough for brother and Lissa felt that she should be reminded that her child wouldn't really be as good as the pure- blooded children that came from their family and that it wouldn't work out as Ellen didn't have the same class as Lissa or her brother. Ellen worked as a schoolteacher for disabled children and spent every weekend running a theatre class for those same children.
So off to the museum to dress as a bunny for the little monsters or something equally as awful Lissa could be at home writing her brother other notes about his bad taste in women. Helping other people was not really Lissa's thing and Lissa enjoyed pampering herself having spent most of her funds on hair products. Most girls in the school enjoyed helping the poor and children's hospital. Lissa enjoyed buying herself clothes and make up. Her pink lips were perfect, and her figure rivalled a model in her own opinion. The guide sent Lissa down to the basement of the museum and there in the basement stood a tall man with brown hair and mousy brown eyes. The kind of guy Lissa ignored and never spoke to due to him being dull and unattractive. His nose was far too big, and his eyes would be nice if not for the glasses he wore. Lissa thought people who wore glasses should be banned from dating because surgery could always correct that. Not everyone could look as perfect as her though and she was very picky about the men she blessed with her presence. They had to be upper class, clean cut and preppy with blond hair and blue eyes not to mention they also had to have the means to give her everything she wanted.
"I'm here about the Easter job." Lissa said putting her artificial smile on that everyone just loved.
"Um yeah ok. I'm Derek Stevens PH. D So we need a woman to hold onto an egg while we perform the ancient ritual and hopefully open this puzzle." He said as he held several odd crystals and placed them in five different wooden crystal holders.
"What's the ritual?" Lissa asked barely letting the boredom seep into her voice.
"Well it claims that the bearer of the egg will meet with royalty and be blessed."
"I'm down with that and I get the three thousand dollars for that?" Lissa asked as she looked at her perfectly manicured nails.
"Yeah or your family should anything go wrong."
