Ch. 01 - Best Friends

- Cathie!! Are you ready?

- Just a second, sweetie... be right there.

- We will be late... again!

Sarah was waiting on the couch. When schedules allow it, she would meet with Cathie at her rented flat, so they would go to uni together, and talk on the way there.

Cathie had just finished brushing her teeth in the bathroom and was finally ready to leave the house. - Finally, Cat! I feel like a groom waiting for the bride. - said Sarah. They both started laughing and went down the stairs, and into the street. The university was just a 15-minute walk, but it was enough time for their morning catch-up talk.

- So, ready for the finals? Asked Cathie.

- More than ready... You know, the fact that you let me spend some nights studying here with you, helps out a lot, and I am really grateful for that, Cat!

- You don't need to thank me, sweetie. Your friendship means a lot to me and you have helped me a lot also. We will both do great on the upcoming exams, you'll see!

A while after they arrived at uni, and each went to attend classes.

- Do I wait for you for lunch, babe?

- Not today, Cat. I have to finish an essay I need to deliver in the afternoon. But we can leave together, I guess... you finish at 6, right?

- Yep... I'll see you then, gorgeous! - and as Sarah turned around to walk away, Cathie gave her a smack on the butt and laughed. Sarah just turned her face and smiled at her friend.

Cathie is a bit more outgoing than Sarah, although both are very shy girls. The fact that they attend the same university although in different courses, was an amazing mood boost for both, as they would be there to help each other. They would walk together, eat together, study and support in all sorts of subjects... They were always there for each other.

The day went normal, and at 6 PM both met in the hallway that led to the campus entrance.

- Oohhhrghh... I hate that guy in the library! Every time I need to request a book, I have to prepare myself mentally to lose a quadrillion hours for him to register it on that old computer... I don't know which one is slower, him or the computer!

Cathie started laughing - Why do you insist on consulting the library? Why don't you use your smartphone like the rest of the world, you knucklehead?!

- You know I don't like to read articles on that tiny screen, Cat! And you also shouldn't do it, as it is bad for your eyes... just saying.

- Oohhh... she worries about my eyes, so cute - she grins at Sarah.

- Yes, I worry about you... and so should you! - Sarah smiles back and sticks her tongue out to Cathie.

They continued talking until they arrived at the entrance where Cathie's flat was.

- So, tomorrow's Friday. Did you ask your parents if you could spend the weekend here with me?

- I can't, Cat! Mom won't let me... she says I need to focus hard for the exams, so I need to mostly study this weekend.

- You could have told her that we would study mostly all the time... and we would really have to study, but I would have my gal here with me, and we would spend some time fooling around, also! There's that new coffee shop where we could go to try their advertised brunches... they look awesome in the flyers. Are you sure you can't stay here with me?

- Yes, that would be awesome, but I'm pretty sure... sorry, milady! - Sarah smiled at her friend and gave her a kiss on the cheek. - I'll see you tomorrow, Cat!

- Bye sweetie. - said Cathie waving her hand at her friend.

The weekend finally arrived and without her friend there, Cathie decided to stay in her rented flat, although her parents insisted that they were missing her and wanted to see her, she told them that she would better concentrate on her studies by staying there alone, far from any possible distractions.

Cathie is a shy and somehow nerdy 22-year-old girl, studying Marketing. She is pretty, with a slim body figure and small breasts, and is very relaxed regarding her own image. She does not relate at all to the typical girl who is always trying to look in her best shape... not Cathie, she doesn't even like the regular trimming and shaving for the summer, only enough for, when needed, to be "good enough" for prior eyes. She describes herself as a natural woman, who embraces her body as something beautiful that Mother Nature provided her.

Her parents aren't wealthy but have gained enough money to rent a flat in the village where she attended the university. Never had a boyfriend, and was always was very shy and focused on her studies.

Sarah has been Cathie's best friend since their first high school years. They met when they attended the same classes, but eventually took different academic routes when they had to choose their area of study later. She is also 22-year-old, studying Biology. She is a chubby girl with big breasts and not the most pretty girl around... she got a bit bullied while growing up and was very reserved for herself. Cathie was the only person she had the opening to talk about everything... probably the fact that Cathie did not judge or care about the physical look, was eventually what brought them together.

Sarah's parents were wealthier than Cathie's, but as they lived nearer to the university, they did not rent a place for her, she had to take public transportation every day, although they allowed Sarah to stay for a few days with Cathie, from time to time.
