Tess-O'Meter -- Green / Amber
-X
Ana barely dare breathe.
Staring up into the jade green eyes of the most dangerous creature she had ever been close to, pinned helplessly by the bedclothes and his body.
But he was beautiful.
Those eyes, gazing at her as if in wonder, were surrounded by thick, dark lashes. Lush lips, slightly parted, his breath seemed to tremble in and out of his body. Sharp cheekbones, and although she knew Camil had shaved him, there was a couple of days growth now.
Smooth skin on a slender but powerful body, his arousal pressing against her through the blanket. Thick hair, she knew to be deep brown, looked almost black in the low firelight. It fell over his forehead, and Ana had the strongest desire to brush it back.
But she didn't. She didn't even blink as they gazed at each other. Then, finally, he murmured one word. Her name, "Ana." Before lowering his head and taking her lips.
His lips were cool and soft against hers. Rubbing and brushing, teasing for entrance. With a moan she opened and felt his full weight come down on her, his tongue against hers.
She tensed, expecting some taste, perhaps of blood or staleness, but he just tasted of man. And need. Her legs spread and he sank lower.
When his lips trembled, he pulled back and kissed his way over her throat and neck. Suddenly Ana's predicament came back to her spinning head, and she gasped slightly.
Emil raised his head again, his eyes searching hers.
Ana swallowed and kept her voice low and calm. "Emil?"
He almost smiled, nodding a little, his eyes warming.
"Emil. Where are Eugen and Camil?" He tipped his head slightly. "Emil, where are they?"
"Sleeping." His voice was rusty as he had only been using it to scream for months.
"Sleeping? Are they okay?" she tensed when Emil frowned. "It's just. When I last saw you, just a few hours ago, you were." Ana swallowed as Emil watched her intently. "Not quite yourself," she finished weakly, surprised when Emil grinned, his face lighting up.
"Aren't you sweet," he brushed another gentle kiss to her lips. "That's the kindest way of saying I was off my head, insane."
"You were unwell," Ana amended and received another playful kiss. "You were also bound?"
"Only with leather, I chewed through one."
"Why?"
"I needed to be with you." He continued when panic lit Ana's eyes. "Not like that," then he blushed. "Well, not right now. I just needed to be close to you. It was hurting me, being apart."
"The craving?"
Emil nodded, then earnestly as her brow furrowed. "I'm not going to feed. Not without Eugen or Camil. I'm not sure I would have control," he admitted.
"Sweetheart," Ana started, and received a blooming smile. "The reason they bound you was because you wouldn't have control. How can you be here with me, like this?"
"I would never hurt you," Emil pouted now.
Ana threw aside her fear and decided to take the lead.
"Okay, this is crazy. Emil, you're crushing me."
"Oh, sorry," Emil moved his weight quickly and sat cross legged on the cover, which was comical as his cock was pointing straight up. He saw her eyes widen. "Oh, sorry. Um. I don't feel comfortable dealing with that right now. Like it might start something I can't stop?"
Then he sort of shuddered and suddenly dived under the cover, pulling it up and snuggling close to Ana, who was balancing shock and annoyance.
"Sorry, I just have to be close to you. I won't do anything, but it hurts."
Ana's annoyance fled. "You still have pain?"
He nodded.
Somehow Ana knew she was safe and pulled him close. Emil pressed his nose and lips to her neck and shuddered violently, before relaxing a little.
"We need to wake Eugen and Camil." She continued, stroking his back gently to comfort, when he went to speak. "Emil. If they wake and find you gone they're going to freak. Why didn't you wake them?" She drew back to see the pout was back and smiled slightly.
"Camil looks so cute when he's sleeping, like a kid."
"Uh huh!"
"And Eugen looked so tired. He was in the chair, watching over me, but he looked exhausted. I wanted to let him sleep."
"And you weren't worried they would keep you away from me?"
Emil smirked. "It might have been a factor." He sighed. "But you're right. We need to go and wake them."
"Yes we do," but she hugged him for another moment. "Emil. How do you know my name?"
He looked at her now, his eyes briming with emotion. "You saved me. How the hell you got me in that car I don't know, and it's a good job I was nearly done. I wanted to feed so badly, I would have had no control. But you saved me, and then again with your blood."
"You remember?"
"I remember everything," he said, his eyes darkening suddenly with horror. "Everything."
"Oh my God!"
"It was like being trapped inside myself. I could hear everything, and experience it, but couldn't get free of my own body."
"I'm so sorry. It's going to be okay, I promise."
Emil smiled sadly at her, but then suddenly his eyes switched to black and he moved. Pinning her back to the bed and covering her, a feral growl deep in his throat.
Ana squeaked in shock, expecting him to rip into her throat, but then she heard a bang as the door crashed open and Camil's voice.
"Oh no. Oh sweet God, Ana. Emil?"
"Stay back," Eugen warned and moved Camil back as they eyed the ferocious figure straddling the bed.
Ana realized they had frightened Emil, but he hadn't attacked. He was braced over her. Shielding her like a bird of prey with a catch.
Which probably wasn't good, but even so.
"I'm okay," she said softly, knowing Eugen and Camil would hear. "Emil. Emil look at me." Those black eyes shifted to fix on hers and he snarled.
"What were we just saying, about waking Eugen and Camil? What did we just agree?" She tentatively reached up and stroked his cheekbone with her fingertips, ignoring another low growl. "What did we just say, tell me Emil." He blinked and shook his head a little.
"That's it. Come back to me. What were we about to do?"
"We," Emil blinked again, his eyes unfocused, the black warring with the green. "We were going to wake them." He blinked again and his eyes were clear, if a little confused. "What happened?"
"Eugen and Camil panicked, just like we thought they might." She wriggled. "Let me up."
"Oh shit," Emil moved back, pulling Ana up with him and into his arms, looking at his friends, "Sorry, you startled me."
Eugen was stood shaking and crying, it was Camil who carefully moved forward, his eyes on Emil. "Emil, I need to see Ana. Can I see her?"
"She's not hurt," Emil replied testily.
"It's not possible," Eugen whispered.
"I'm okay," Ana peered over Emil's arm and smiled at them. "I'm okay. He's doing okay, just take it slow, yea?" She had barely finished when Camil launched onto the bed, hugging her and Emil and kissing them both. Tears pouring down his face.
"Shhhh, calm down," Ana smoothed his hair and smiled at Emil, who pulled Camil close and held him tight, whispering words of thanks and love.
Ana eased up to the ornate headboard and watched. Her cheeks were wet as well, the emotion pouring from the men was thick in the air.
Finally they separated and Camil moved to her, double checking she was okay and watching as Emil knelt on the edge of the bed looking toward Eugen, who was still stood shock still.
"Eugen?" he asked, unsure.
"Why did you come down here?" Eugen demanded.
"I had to be near Ana."
"The craving?"
Emil nodded, "It hurts."
"Why didn't you feed?"
Ana noticed Camil brace and shift slightly in front of her, worried that Emil might be triggered.
"I wasn't sure I was safe to," Emil admitted. Then broke down as Eugen just watched him with an unreadable expression on his face. "I'm sorry, I should have woken you. I'm sorry, please." He hiccupped and held his arms up beseechingly. "Please, Eugen."
But Eugen had already moved and taken a hold of him. Gripping him close to his chest. "Hush, I'm not angry. I'm amazed. Your control shouldn't be possible." Then he squeezed even harder and pressed his lips to Emil's hair. "Oh sweet Jesus. We thought we had lost you."
Emil just clung and sobbed. Crying until he was exhausted, by which time Eugen was cradling him with Camil also offering comfort.
Eventually, Ana eased off the bed and slipped her feet into fleece lined boots. "I'm going to make tea," she said. "We should talk. Emil told me he remembers everything." She nodded at the horrified expression on Camil and Eugen's faces and quietly left the room.

It hadn't been an easy night.
Listening to Emil describe such depraved torture, and that he had suffered it in his frail human body had been hard for all to hear.
Somehow it was worse that Emil seemed to be emotionless as he described his experiences. The dull way he explained, when Eugen asked, that he had been kept shaved because Constantine didn't like the feel of beard, or the sound to be muted, when he slapped him.
It was clear that Emil had started to shut down. Go deep into his own mind, long before the end.
The memories were harsher from when he was turned. Chained and starved in the back of a car and left hanging outside the castle. Knowing he was close to home, but unable to do anything but suffer.
Constantine, Ana thought darkly. Eugen had already told her the name of the enemy who had taken Emil, but now she swore revenge. Nobody should go through so much and not be revenged.
Emil's memory was sharper still from when he awoke a fledgling. She had been amazed that the tiny movements he had made when she manoeuvred him into the car, had been him trying desperately to bite her. Frantic to feed, survival his only aim.
