"There was something just not right about this" Jamilla thought. Her father returned Earlier then normal from the Tavern and He and Mother both went straight to bed and fell fast asleep. Jamilla was counting the Hours to when she knew it would be safe. She listened to the hushed whispers from her parent room wishing she could hear what was being said but not daring to get out of her bed and make a noise till the time was right. Jamilla's heart racing, she was finally going to be free. She was going to be her own person not someone property. If she only knew what was going on in her parent's room.
Raja smiles at his wife as he empties out the leather pouch filled with gold and silver coins on the feather bed... He whispers softly to her "twice as much as we originally agreed on for her all because she plans on running away tonight and head north He is going to catch her in the woods and take her with him" Cheyna gasps at the thought of her daughter being taken by such brute force. With a soft reassuring smile Raja explains that it was that or they would have to turn over their home to Talon. This Deal was made at Jamilla's birth. "This was the price of your freedom Cheyna"... Raja quietly reminded Her. Your Freedom for your first-born daughters. With a soft smile Cheyna wraps her arms around her husband kissing him soundly as they falls together in the bed.
Silence blessed silence. That's all Jamilla was waiting for. Carefully Jamilla sneaks from the house... creeping slowly away from her home and her family... without so much as looking back Jamilla starts running towards the woods. Wanting to put as much distance between this town as she can before she was found missing. The deeper into the Woods she went the less of the trail she could see. Somehow she thought she knew this trail by heart. She had traveled it for many years with her father. The farther she went the more lost she felt. Finally she stops and rests by a tree and hopes that he moon will come out from behind the clouds and light her way.
Talon couldn't help but snicker at her. He pain stakenly made sure to reroute some of the trails she would be on to put her in the middle of no where at His mercy. All He had to do was make sure she fell asleep and found His camp in the morning. Adjusting his breeches. If He could only wait that long. The more HE watched her the more He wanted her. He almost wished He had taken that whore up on her offer in the Tavern before he left. Oh well She will submit to Him and her fate one way or another. With a Wicked smile we walk back to where He is camped.
Jamilla stared into the black sky praying for the clouds to clear away. She doesn't know when or how it happened but she woke several hours later just as the sun was rising over the hilltops. Startled she jumps to her feet and started looking around. Nothing looked familiar. She somehow ended up lost in the same woods she grew up in. stumbling around looking for something she would recognize... Jamilla wandered around for what seemed to be hours. The rumbling that started in her stomach hours ago was now a dull pain when she saw it a small camp and a single inhabitant. Maybe the person would be kind enough o share a meal and help her without returning her to her parents. Taking a deep breath she walked towards the camp praying for the best.
He had been watching her stumble around and was very surprised she had lasted as long as she did. Talon figured her to be at the camp sometime in the Middle of the night or at the very latest sunrise. Here it is almost midday. He hid a smiles as she tentivly moved closer to where he was in camp. He paid her no attention that she could tell. Little glances here and there as her form came closer and closer. He looked up at her suddenly giving her the impression that he knew she was there and wasn't pleased about it. He chuckles to himself as she smiles at him and tries to be charming that she was worth many more coins then he had paid for her and she will be well worth breaking.
Jamilla was startled by this striking mans sudden attention to her presence and without meaning to she gave away her fear and that was one thing she wished not to do. Placing a smile on her face Jamilla introduces herself to this handsome stranger hoping her charm and wit would win him over to her side and get him to help her. He smiled almost wickedly at her as he asked her to sit beside him by the fire. Taken aback when he offered her a plate of food without her having to ask for it. Jamilla thanked the stranger kindly and ate in silence. It never dawned on Jamilla that her food or drink could have been drugged or that this man was here to take her back to her parents or even worse the Man who now owns her without her knowledge.
Talon smiles at her as he passed the plate of food to her slowly winning her over with his charm. He saw the fear and tension leave her body with every forkful of food. Sitting next to her Talon ate in silence waiting for the drug to take its effect. He needed to get on the road quickly and without anymore set backs. How is it that all of the best-laid plans never work out the way you plan them Talon thought as Jamilla's plant fell from her lap and she gently fell forward on his lap. Brushing her hair from the side of her face Talon whispers "I told you lilone a long time ago I own you heart, body and soul" kissing her cheek softly Talon stands and gets 2 pieces of rope and precedes to tie her wrists and ankles.
